Dan is RHM's Certified Public Accountant. He was reared in Evansville, Indiana, where he was the sixth of seven children who came into a loving Christian home. The family attended a little Baptist church where on Mother's Day, he accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of eight. He served in the US Air Force from 1954 - 1962, and was stationed from Greenland, to the Philippines, to N. Africa and various countries over Europe.
However, in 1959, he found the time to come home to marry his high school sweetheart, Diane. After graduating with a business degree in accounting from Indiana State University (1965), he continued studies and received his CPA license in 1970. In addition to his CPA profession, Dan has owned a restaurant and three physical therapy centers. He and Diane have a son and a daughter, and today are very proud great-grandparents. Since his retirement, they spend much of their time traveling in France.
He was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2001, and soon took a vision trip to Romania to become more acquainted with RHM’s growing ministry there. At that time, any activities had to take place in a basement room of the city hall, the only space available to such a group, but inaccessible to most of those who needed the activities most. But there Dan met many of our kids and their families, and seeing such bitter need and poverty pierced his heart so deeply that he now dedicates many hours of his time to supporting the ministry of RHM.
Dan has also served on the Boards of three other not-for-profit organizations in Cincinnati that services to underprivileged children and adults.
