Romanian Handicapped Ministries, Inc.
History
In 1998, a team of seven American teens and four spunky
adults set out for Sweden for some camp training with the
Swedish team, after which twenty six  stimulated teenagers
set out for Constanta.  Camp activities were similar to
Vacation Bible Schools the Americans had attended as
children where there were Bible stories, crafts, outside
playtime, lively music, food, and a day of fun at a mid-city
park.  This included a riveting pantomime presentation that
drew the attention of scores of passers-by.  As a city service
project, the teams painted handicapped access signs at
various crosswalks in the downtown area.

After their return to the United States, the four adult team
members believed that God was directing them to nurture
what He had started in their hearts while in Romania. With
prayer and consideration, Romanian Handicapped Ministries
(RHM) was born in August, and in November, we were
formally incorporated as a fully tax-exempt, nonprofit
Christian organization.
